The letter also asks for different demand-evolution scenarios and for clarification of the runway and taxiway configuration and its full compatibility with Code F aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8. The Government says the application process does not provide for a formal response at this stage.

The Ministry says it wants to keep working with ANA to identify ways of shortening the schedule and bring forward entry into operation. ECO reports the date indicated by ANA as 2037.

ECO adds that ANA must now deliver the Financial Report by 16 January 2027, the last of the four interim reports, with the final application due by 16 January 2028.
